Catering / Food & Beverage Manager
at Lake Charles Event Center to oversee daily Food and Beverage operations, including concessions, catering, menu development, and financial management. The role involves managing staff, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining client relations. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Market Food and Beverage services and establish controls. Maintain positive client relations. Manage daily operations and personnel of Food & Beverage department. Create sales projections and budgets for events. Develop relationships with third-party catering contractors. Forecast and meet budgeted revenue & expense targets. Review menu performance and make improvements. Maintain inventory and fiscal reports. Resolve issues with catering contractors. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol regulations. Oversee equipment maintenance. Assist during events to ensure client satisfaction. Hire, train, and schedule staff. Develop work plans and control costs. Ensure food quality and sanitation standards. Supervise staff in accordance with policies and laws. Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. QUALIFICATIONS: Certificate or degree from an accredited culinary or technical school preferred. Minimum 3 years management experience in Food & Beverage. Experience in sales, inventory, and cost control. Knowledge of culinary trends and menu costing. Experience working with vendors and subcontractors. Maintain PCI compliance and alcohol training certifications. Strong customer service orientation. Results-driven with organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. NOTE:
