JOB REQUIREMENTS Shipping Supervisor 2nd Shift Schofield, WI Shipping
Position Overview Under the direction of the Department Manager, the Shipping Supervisor ensures the production of company products at the highest quality and at the lowest possible cost, meeting company policies and procedures. The Shipping Supervisor will act in a manner that is consistent with Gordon Aluminum’s Customer 1st Philosophy.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the daily workload, determine shipping schedules, and train the shipping team in safety, accuracy, quality and efficiency.
Ensure a clean and safe workplace for the entire department.
Ensure the team is trained on the quality requirements for the parts handled.
Take responsibility for time reporting, attendance, evaluations, and disciplinary or corrective actions.
Communicate effectively within the department and with the other production departments.
Maintain constant communication with customer service to provide superior service to our customers.
Continually look for opportunities for improvement.
Be a great decision maker and lead by example.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Train employees; assign and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
Additional Obligations All positions are also responsible for performing all work‑related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all federal, state, and local standards and regulations, and adhering to company policies, procedures, and directives regarding safety and standards of workplace behavior.
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, the worker must possess the abilities and aptitudes to perform each essential duty proficiently. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
