Job Description and Duties Under direction of a Staff Service Manager I and Branch Chief of Maintenance the incumbent is an analyst. The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) will be responsible for a broad range of duties in the support of the District 6 Maintenance Program and involves exercising independent judgment on complex operational issues to ensure compliance with program parameters. Responsibilities include maintaining and adding various Highway Maintenance (HM), Minor, and Emergency projects in the Project Resource Schedule Management System (PRSM) and other databases, reviewing project statues, responding to inquiries, tracking account uses, analyzing project data, and preparing calculations to determine project expenditures. The incumbent will coordinate with various units to assist with the Final Vouchering of all projects within the Maintenance Program. Additionally, the AGPA will assist with Maintenance Service Contracts, Public Works Contracts, Inter‑agency Agreements, Delegated Maintenance Agreements, Emergency Contracts, and Lease Agreements. The incumbent will oversee contract work, prepare necessary documentation, track progress, and generate reports. In addition, the AGPA will handle the review of contract billing, monitor expenditures, create budget projections, and conduct contract analysis.
Working Conditions Position located at 1352 W. Olive Ave., Fresno, Fresno County. The incumbent will work in a climate controlled office setting environment with artificial and natural lighting. The incumbent may occasionally travel in a variety of weather conditions to other State facilities to attend meetings, hand‑deliver documents or to purchase supplies from vendors. This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Caltrans’s evolving telework policy. Caltrans supports telework, recognizing that in‑person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksites with minimum notification if an urgent need arises. The selected candidate will be required to commute to the headquartered location as needed to meet operational needs. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated headquartered location, primary residence, and may be subject to CalHR regulations or applicable bargaining unit contract provisions.
