This position is responsible for performing construction materials testing in the field. The Senior Construction Materials Testing Field Technician will conduct testing, project‑specific observations, and site assessment duties under general supervision or from detailed procedures.

What you’ll do:
Operate, maintain, and calibrate testing equipment; conduct soil and/or concrete testing and provide data assessments.
Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
Read and interpret plans and specifications.
Observe site activities and perform tasks and complex assignments.
Document test results and maintain detailed records.
Communicate effectively with client and project teams and attend project meetings.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
5 years experience as a field technician/inspector in construction materials testing.
NICET Level II OR.
TXDOT Level 1A, 1B, and SB102 certifications.
Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
Ability to travel up to 25%, work off‑shifts, and overtime.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally >50 lbs with assistance.
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
Ability to kneel, squat, walk, and stand for long periods and work outdoors in adverse weather (hot and cold temperatures).
Ability to climb occasionally and work at various heights.
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent.
NICET Level II Soil, Concrete & Asphalt.
ICC and PT Level I and Level II.
