The LoopRoots Foundation is a nonprofit, tax‑exempt organization dedicated to supporting justice‑impacted families through transportation, therapy, and technology‑driven programs. Our mission is to remove the physical, financial, and emotional barriers that prevent families from maintaining meaningful connections with incarcerated loved ones, accessing mental health care, or navigating reentry. Founded in 2025, the LoopRoots Foundation operates nationally, with an initial focus on underserved communities in Maryland, Arizona, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, California, and Virginia.
Our key initiatives include:
LoopConnect – a ride‑credit sponsorship platform that provides free or subsidized rides to prison visitation facilities, allowing families to stay in contact during incarceration.
LoopTalk – a HIPAA‑compliant virtual therapy program offering trauma‑informed mental health care to justice‑impacted individuals and caregivers, including children.
LoopTroop Rideshare Partnership – we collaborate with the LoopTroop Rideshare platform to ensure families have access to safe, reliable, and culturally competent transportation services.
The LoopRoots Foundation is committed to using community‑based, technology‑enabled tools to restore dignity, promote healing, and reduce generational harm. All of our programs are offered without discrimination to build a truly supportive ecosystem for families across the U.S.

About LoopRoots Foundation
The LoopRoots Foundation is a national social impact organization dedicated to supporting families and individuals impacted by incarceration. We provide programs in transportation access, housing support, financial literacy, mental wellness, and legal reentry assistance — helping communities rebuild lives with dignity and opportunity.
About The Role
We’re seeking a dedicated Program Legal Aid Manager (Volunteer) to develop, launch, and manage our new LoopLegal Initiative — a program designed to provide accessible legal aid, expungement guidance, and reentry support for justice‑impacted individuals and families. This position is fully remote and requires a 20–25 hour weekly commitment. The ideal candidate will lead the design of the LoopLegal program infrastructure, recruit and manage a team of legal volunteers, and oversee operations leading into our full launch. This volunteer role will transition into a paid position after our public launch.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage the full LoopLegal program framework (client intake, referral network, and volunteer operations).
Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer legal interns, paralegals, and case support staff.
Establish partnerships with law firms, bar associations, and justice reform organizations.
Oversee the creation of educational legal resources for reentry and expungement support.
Maintain program documentation, compliance logs, and metrics for reporting.
Collaborate directly with the Founder and leadership team on program scaling and funding readiness.
Qualifications
Background in Law, Legal Studies, Public Policy, or Criminal Justice.
Prior experience managing people, projects, or volunteer teams preferred.
Strong research, writing, and organizational skills.
Commitment to justice reform, social equity, and reentry empowerment.
Self‑starter who thrives in a remote, mission‑driven work environment.
What You’ll Gain
Leadership experience in building a nonprofit legal aid program from the ground up.
Opportunity to shape program design and long‑term structure.
Direct collaboration with organizational leadership and legal partners.
Letter of recommendation and pathway to a paid Program Manager position post‑launch.
