As a
Business Development Manager
on the Logistics Team, you will own and execute the go-to-market strategy for autonomous logistics applications such as ocean and intermodal ports, warehouse distribution centers, and modular construction sites. This role requires a proven business builder who can identify opportunity, lead with influence, and close high-value partnerships with top-tier customers. You will work cross-functionally to shape market strategy, build the pipeline, lead customer engagement efforts, and collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure solutions meet real-world demands. Your success will be measured not only in closed business, but in shaping a scalable growth engine for ASI's logistics segment.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to expand ASI's presence in the construction technology sector. Identify and secure strategic partnerships with OEMs, end users, and integrators to drive product adoption. Maintain deep understanding of customer needs, pain points, and technical requirements in logistics environments. Manage the complete sales cycle-from lead generation to contract closure-using ASI's CRM tools. Coordinate with Marketing and Product teams to align campaigns, collateral, and demos with customer needs and market trends. Deliver compelling, ROI-focused presentations tailored to executive and technical stakeholders. Represent ASI at trade shows, conferences, and technical demos to increase brand awareness and generate leads.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred. 10+ years of experience in B2B sales in industrial, civil, and/or road logistics field. Proven track record of developing new business, closing complex deals, and managing strategic accounts. Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to engage both executive and technical audiences. Demonstrated success in negotiation, deal structuring, and long-term relationship building. Experience working in dynamic, cross-functional teams and fast-paced environments. Familiarity with robotics, autonomy, or logistics vehicle technology is strongly preferred. Skilled in using CRM platforms for sales tracking, pipeline management, and reporting. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and prioritizing effectively across multiple initiatives. Willingness to travel up to 50% for client meetings, industry events, and site visits.
