Designer – Young Men’s and Juniors – Ross Account Founded in 1989, Isaac Morris Limited (IML) is a leader in the apparel market, known for its top‑notch quality, art, and execution. IML services retailers with licensed apparel across Boys’, Girls’, Young Men’s, and Juniors’ lines, operating from specialty stores to department and mass‑market outlets. Based in NYC, IML’s in‑house licensing and art team is committed to creating industry‑leading artwork and staying on trend.

This role supports the Ross account from our Los Angeles office, focusing on Young Men’s development through production approvals and new body creation for Juniors alongside the technical designer. The account also has a Senior Designer and an additional Designer for Juniors.

Responsibilities

Develop technical flat sketching in Illustrator.

Collaborate with the technical designer on new body/fit development for Juniors and YM.

Organize the design room alongside the Juniors designer.

Assist the Senior Designer in executing overseas and domestic development, coordinating workload for the Ross account.

Work with cross‑functional teams such as production, tech, and sales.

Own production detail pages for the Young Men’s tech packs on all orders.

Meticulously check and revise art size/placement/colors for all YM Ross orders.

Handle production strike‑offs, digital graded art size runs, and lab dip approvals for Young Men’s orders.

Meet with buyers regularly.

Shop the market (virtual & physical as needed).

Maintain the design calendar and deadlines.

Collaborate with the Design Director to recruit new talent and assess design needs.

Work with Directors and Senior Designers to streamline workflow and processes.

Perform any other assigned tasks.

Requirements

Experience in technical design.

Strong understanding of garment construction.

Ability to sketch and CAD design details.

Proficiency in tech packs (detail pages).

Excellent communication and organizational skills.
