Cassena Care is seeking a payroll clerk to join our dynamic team of professionals.
Job responsibilities for payroll clerk:
Verify timekeeping records Record payroll data in our software system Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Qualifications:
High school diploma (Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred) Minimum one year payroll department experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Strong attention to detail required Knowledge of Smartlinx software a plus Knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements a plus Strong analytical skills, strong personal computer skills Demonstrated competence in data collection and data input Extremely well organized Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills What we offer:
