Overview
Clubhouse Counselor II – Education Coordinator. As a Clubhouse Counselor II, you provide individual and group support to the members of the Clubhouse. Through assessment and development of Individual Action Plan (IAP) goals, you work in partnership with Clubhouse members to improve life skills and self-determination within the established work areas of the Club, as well as in social and community activities. You may provide leadership in one or more Clubhouse work areas, including Employment/Education (EE), Communication, Art, and Social Recreation (CASR), Intake, Orientation, Outreach, and Housing (IOOH), and Health, Wellness, and Life Skills (HWLS). Responsibilities
Provide individual and group support to Clubhouse members and assist in the development of IAP goals. Lead or contribute expertise in designated Clubhouse work areas (EE, CASR, IOOH, HWLS). Support life skills development, self-determination, social and community participation. Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field is preferred; experience may substitute for education. High school diploma or GED required. 1–3 years of experience in Human Services. Advanced training, experience, or professional credentials are required for Clubhouse Counselor II positions. Strong time management and writing skills; excellent interpersonal skills and good judgment; ability to coach and mentor. All applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a valid US driver’s license for at least 6 months. All applicants must become CPR and First Aid certified within 2 weeks of employment. Candidates must successfully pass CORI, reference, multi-state background, and driving record checks. Pay
