We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with expertise in New York law to join our team. This role demands exceptional legal acumen, precision, and leadership in guiding and enhancing our paralegal team. As a Litigation Paralegal at Bush & Bush Law Group, you will play a pivotal role in developing legal strategies, supervising paralegal staff, and directly supporting litigation efforts. The ideal candidate will possess advanced legal drafting skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to independently craft comprehensive legal documents.

Base pay range:
$60,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Training: Lead, mentor, and develop our foreign paralegal staff, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency in their work
Discovery Craftsmanship: Independently propound and respond to discovery requests from scratch, without reliance on pre-made templates. Develop tailored discovery strategies based on case specifics and legal requirements
Jury Charge Development: Prepare precise jury charges that identify critical elements needed for successful case outcomes. Use these charges to draft petitions, complaints, and targeted discovery to gather key evidence
Legal Drafting: Draft comprehensive petitions, pleadings, and complaints for cases in both state and federal court jurisdictions, addressing all relevant legal elements and strategic objectives
Evidence Analysis: Review and analyze discovery records and gathered evidence, draft motions to compel as necessary, and ensure complete and accurate presentation of case information
Deadline Management: Monitor and adhere to court deadlines and statutes, ensuring timely and error-free submission of all legal documents
Trial Preparation: Assemble comprehensive trial binders and prepare all materials to support attorneys in court proceedings
Motion Drafting: Draft legal motions as needed with clear articulation of legal arguments
Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of paralegal experience specializing in New York Plaintiff's Personal Injury Law, with substantial exposure to complex litigation. Experience with federal filings is preferred
Expertise: Ability to independently draft and respond to discovery requests and develop tailored legal strategies from scratch
Language: Fluency in English and Spanish would be preferred
Skills: Proficient in crafting jury charges and aligning petitions and discovery with key case elements. Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail
Leadership: Ability to train, supervise, and inspire a team of junior and foreign paralegals
