Qualifications
Must have a HS Diploma or equivalent
Good verbal and written communication skills
Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft software
Ability to learn quickly
Be able to work with the public in a professional, compassionate manner
Organized and detailed oriented
Self starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
Be able to pass a criminal background check
Must be at least 21 years old with a valid AZ Drivers License
Able to pass TSA Fleet Safety E-learning module
Responsibilities
Assist with phones and field calls for assistance requests, supply information of times and required documents, schedule appointments as needed
Data entry for Seasonal Programs (Angel Tree, Kettle Program, Thanksgiving Assistance)
Assist with set up of Christmas programs
Assist as needed with drop off and/or pick up of kettles
Assist with Angel Tree Program site management, picking up toys, monitoring tags on trees as needed
Assist with scheduling of volunteers
Assist with Thanksgiving and Christmas distributions
Assist in the preparation of a Christmas brief
Assist with after seasonal clean up & storage
Program Coordination
Assist with the planning, setup, and execution of Angel Tree, Red Kettle, holiday meals, and toy/food distributions.
Help maintain program records, schedules, and reporting.
Volunteer Engagement
Recruit, schedule, and coordinate volunteers for all holiday events.
Maintain regular communication with volunteers to encourage commitment and follow-through.
Provide orientation, direction, and appreciation to volunteers.
Logistics & Operations
Assist with program setup and cleanup, including organizing donation drop-offs, sorting, packing, and distribution.
Ensure facilities and equipment are maintained in clean, orderly condition during holiday programs.
Safely operate Salvation Army vehicles for program-related errands, pickups, deliveries, and transportation of supplies.
Community Relations
Represent The Salvation Army in a professional and positive manner with donors, businesses, partners, and the public.
Support outreach efforts by helping to maintain community and partner engagement.
Other Duties
Perform other responsibilities
as assigned and directed by the Corps Officer
to ensure the success of Christmas operations.
Physical Requirements Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
