Research Administrative Coordinator I, Neurology
Coordinate a variety of research activities for assigned departments and provide faculty with administrative support facilitating the timely submission and subsequent post award management for research endeavors to assure that research projects comply with institutional and sponsor requirements. The incumbent will serve as both the ombudsman and liaison to the Office of Research to ensure better support and coordination of all facets of pre and post award services. Department : 37103 Wake Forest University Health Sciences - Neurology Status : Full time Benefits Eligible : Yes Hours Per Week : 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information : M-F 8am-5pm, Hybrid Role Pay Range : $26.10 - $39.15 Job Summary : Coordinate research activities and provide administrative support to faculty. Education / Experience : Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience. Two years experience with grant preparation and management of grant budgets. Pre-Award Essential Functions : Support faculty research interests by identifying potential sponsors and programs. Facilitate grant and/or contract submission by providing training and guidance to faculty members. Help faculty obtain and review guidelines for requests for proposals and requests for applications. Assist faculty in obtaining and coordinating proposal components from various participants. Together with BA and faculty create grant budgets from investigator outlines. Help create, coordinate and review subcontracts grant applications. Facilitate communications to departments by participating in training sessions. Post-Award Essential Functions : Help prepare re-budgeting requests and compile financial progress reports. Assist with coordination of sponsor updates of grant information and help coordinate time and effort information. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. Skills And Qualifications : Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to deal effectively with faculty, staff and external sponsors, excellent oral and written communication skills, computer literacy.
