Based in our Los Angeles, Century City, or Orange County office, the Real Estate Paralegal will provide critical support to attorneys in all phases of real estate transactions, including due diligence review, document preparation, and closing coordination. This role is ideal for a candidate with substantial real estate experience who is ready to take on more complex assignments and collaborate directly with clients, title companies, and counterparties. This position reports to the U.S. Paralegal Manager and the Real Estate Paralegal Coordinator. Responsibilities include:

Assisting with all aspects of commercial real estate financing and acquisition transactions. Reviewing and analyzing title documents, surveys, and zoning reports, and summarizing key findings for attorney review. Preparing title and survey objection letters, seller response letters, and due diligence review summaries. Coordinating directly with title companies, surveyors, and zoning companies to resolve related issues and negotiate title and UCC policy coverage. Drafting escrow instructions, conveyance documents, and ancillary loan documents, including documents related to loan pay‑offs and UCC filings. Reviewing and preparing lease abstracts and maintaining related databases. Ordering and reviewing UCC, litigation, and bankruptcy searches and preparing summary reports. Supporting attorneys and senior paralegals with closing logistics, including managing checklists, assembling final documentation, preparing closing binders, and handling all aspects of the post‑closing process. Collaborating with attorneys and senior paralegals across multiple offices to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient workflow on client matters. Qualifications:

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail. Proactive and self‑motivated, with a collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to analyze and problem‑solve in connection with complex transactions. Ability to work overtime as necessary. Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree required. Paralegal Certificate preferred. Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate transactions, preferably within an AmLaw 100 firm or comparable corporate legal environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat required; familiarity with document management and closing software is a plus. Gibson Dunn will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of local law. The annual compensation range for this position is $100-130k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
