Conduct initial evaluations, initiate assessments, document patient symptoms, functioning, and needs, and provide information to MD for level of care determination. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills when assisting patients, physicians, visitors, and coworkers promptly and courteously. Possess clear knowledge of Emergency Detention paperwork, processes, and EMTALA regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited nursing program or hold relevant state licensure. Previous experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility, preferably with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients. Experience in patient assessments, family motivation, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations. Current unencumbered license to practice nursing in the state. CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact. Seniority level
