Job: Caseworker I, II, III- Intake- High Risk Assessment

This position provides intake services for families where child abuse or neglect is present to resolve these circumstances. Responsibilities include conducting child abuse investigations, removing involved children until dangerous conditions are corrected, and arranging for long-term or permanent placements if living conditions remain unsafe. The role involves investigating abuse or neglect complaints to assess the need for child protection, monitoring client progress, and modifying case plans as needed. It also includes providing immediate crisis intervention to stabilize critical situations and prevent family member removal, making collateral contacts with community resources such as law enforcement and medical personnel, and participating in staffing with schools, mental health facilities, and other professionals involved with the family. Attendance at court hearings is also required. Qualifications: Level I : Bachelor’s degree in a human behavioral sciences field, with coursework equivalent to 30 semester or 45 quarter hours in development of human behavior, child development, family intervention, diagnostic measures, or therapeutic techniques. Relevant fields include social work, psychology, sociology, guidance and counseling, and child development. Level II : Minimum of one year of full-time professional caseworker experience in a public or private social services agency. Level III : Two years of full-time, professional, paid experience in a similar setting. A master's degree in social work or a related field may substitute for one year of experience. Additional Requirements:

Valid Colorado driver’s license, vehicle in safe condition, liability insurance, physical presence within Fremont County during on-call duties, and ability to pass a nationwide background check. Other Notes:
