Assistant Athletic Director & Admissions Liaison
This position offices in-person, on campus.
ROLE SUMMARY Valor Christian High School has a rich tradition of preparing student‑athletes for success at the collegiate level. Since inception, Valor has sent well over 500 athletes to compete in DI, DII, DIII, NAIA and Junior College programs, across 30 different sports earning millions in first‑year scholarships. Of those 500 athletes, 47 percent received the opportunity to play at the NCAA DI level. The Assistant Athletic Director – College Recruiting / Admissions Liaison will oversee all aspects of the development process for Valor athletes. This position’s primary function will be to meet with student‑athletes and their parents to help them navigate the college recruiting journey, with the ultimate goal of finding the best fit that fully aligns with their goals of competition at the next level and provides the greatest measure of financial support and scholarship opportunity. Valor’s expectation is that each student‑athlete has an exceptional experience throughout this process and that parents feel honored, valued, and respected. To excel in this position, one must be passionate about connecting Valor student‑athletes with college coaches and programs that best fit the athletic and academic needs of each student, so they have the opportunity to become all who God created them to be in this next chapter of their life.
In addition, the secondary function of the position will be to connect with student‑athletes and their parents during “shadow days” and campus tours. This function will make this person the first face they recognize at Valor and the one who will introduce them on their collegiate signing day for many families. To excel in this part of the role, one must be passionate about Valor and serve our visitors by connecting them with coaches and athletic personnel while on campus. Valor’s expectation is that every visitor feels welcome and is able to meet all of the key people who will be a part of their life for their high school experience.

Primary Responsibilities
Promote the Valor Athletic Department and Valor Athletes to colleges and universities across the country and build relationships with key contacts and serve as a communication conduit between Valor coaches and colleges and universities
Educate Valor families on all elements including, but not limited to: competition levels of sport (NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA) and the opportunities which exist for scholarship and/or selective admission to non‑scholarship programs, the athlete role in the process, important dates and timelines for the NCAA and NAIA Eligibility Center Guidelines
Coordinate and host three Valor Signing Day Events for college‑committed student‑athletes
Manage and demonstrate expertise in our SportsRecruits software platform
Develop strong working relationships with the academic and college counselors to be a trusted partner that supplements the college advising process for student‑athletes
Secondary Responsibilities
Connect with student‑athletes and their parents during “shadow days” and campus tours
Connect coaches and athletics personnel while prospective and incoming families are on campus
Manage and organize calendars in Google Calendar platform
Support the student athletes by attending their games and competitions, both home and away
Support the overall Valor athletic program by serving as a home game administrator, as requested
Support Athletic leadership in the oversight of sports programs, as needed

Uphold and embody Valor’s culture as set forth in the Valor Culture Document
