Position Overview As a Real Estate Legal Assistant/Paralegal at Rosenblum Goldenhersh, you will play a critical role in supporting our attorneys in a dynamic and high‑volume real estate practice group. We are seeking a detail‑oriented, proactive, and organized professional who thrives in a collaborative atmosphere and is passionate about supporting complex real estate transactions from contract to closing.
Key Responsibilities
Real Estate Transaction Support : Assist attorneys with all phases of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, development and redevelopment projects.
Title and Survey Review : Order, review, and analyze title commitments, surveys, and exception documents. Identify and resolve title and survey issues in collaboration with title companies, surveyors, and attorneys.
Drafting : Draft, revise, amend and organize real estate documents such as purchase and sale agreements, easements (including multi‑party reciprocal easement and operating agreements), covenants conditions and restrictions agreements, declarations, critical date and closing checklists, LLC operating/LLP partnership agreements, closing documents (deeds, FIRPTAs, affidavits, resolutions/consents, assignment and assumption agreements, etc.), closing binders, property management agreements, leases and amendments, approval/consent/disapproval letters, estoppel certificates, SNDAs and response emails to client inquiries. Ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards and client requirements.
Due Diligence : Coordinate and manage due diligence processes, including collecting, organizing, and reviewing property and closing documents and searching for and analyzing specific provisions of multiple property documents.
Closing Coordination : Work closely with attorneys, clients, lenders, and title companies to coordinate real estate closings and facilitate post‑closing follow‑up.
Client Communication : Interact directly with clients, brokers, and third‑party vendors to gather information, provide updates, and ensure efficient transaction progress and timely responses to clients.
Administrative Support : Assist with general administrative duties related to real estate matters, including document tracking, database maintenance, file organization, formatting/drafting/searching of documents for use with existing firm‑provided AI applications.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a real estate assistant/paralegal, preferably in a law firm or in‑house legal department handling commercial real estate transactions.
Familiarity with title and survey review, lease abstraction, and preparation of leases and amendments, easement agreements and closing documents.
Solid understanding of real‑estate transaction workflows, including leasing, financing, development and redevelopment; knowledge regarding regional shopping centers, REAs and anchor tenants is a plus.
Strong working knowledge of legal terminology and procedures related to real‑estate law.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with real‑estate or legal software tools, including AI and time tracking/time entry, is a plus.
Exceptional organizational skills and a sharp attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment with minimal direction.
