Nanny Position – Live-in or Live-out Location : Chelsea, London

Schedule : 5 days per week, approximately 08:00–18:30. Ideally to include one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday), although there may be flexibility for Monday to Friday for a candidate who can occasionally adjust to cover a weekend day or weekend, with time off in lieu by mutual agreement.

Start Date : Flexible, ideally as soon as possible (trial required).

Accommodation : Live-in (5 days) or live-out if located nearby and able to cover full hours. Private bedroom and bathroom provided within the household.

Salary : Competitive, dependent on experience (DOE)

About the Role A warm, emotionally intelligent, and professional Nanny is sought to provide nurturing daytime care for a young baby within a calm, supportive household in Chelsea.

The role centres on a gentle, baby-led approach and a close partnership with an involved mother, offering both practical care and emotional support during the early stages of parenthood.

The household also employs a full-time Housekeeper during the week, and a Housekeeper/Cook on weekends, creating a well-supported and organised environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide loving, attentive care in line with baby-led and attachment-based principles

Support exclusive breastfeeding and respond sensitively to the baby’s individual cues

Engage in gentle, age-appropriate play, walks, and local classes or activities

Encourage early social experiences in calm, familiar settings

Work in partnership with the mother as a trusted, supportive presence throughout the day

Maintain a tidy, organised, and baby-focused environment

No driving or household management duties required; however, comfort with stairs is essential (5th-floor walk-up)

Candidate Profile

Cat-friendly

Proven professional experience caring for infants

Non-smoker preferred

No alcohol or pork within the household

EU passport holder a great advantage but not essential

Childcare, Early Years, Montessori, or Psychology qualification preferred

Gentle, responsive, and baby-led caregiving style

Breastfeeding-positive and knowledgeable about infant development

Kind, calm, and grounded with a warm, smiling disposition

Emotionally intelligent, empathetic, and naturally attuned to family dynamics

Confident yet humble, with a genuine love for babies and supporting new parents

Energetic, physically fit, and happy to walk to local activities

Fluent, clear English speaker is preferred with a soft and reassuring communication style

Suited to someone who enjoys a close, collaborative relationship with parents
