Wide Format Operator Full Sail Media is seeking an exceptional, talented individual to join operations in our growing company as a wide format operator at our Baltimore location. Full Sail Media seeks driven individuals who share its passion for intuitive and quality print marketing and customer service surpassing that of our competition. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with interest and experience in printing and graphics to work and be involved with the sign and wide format print and installation process, and work with the latest in technology. The wide format operator candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and staff. The ability to establish client relations, listen to client goals, and maintain community rapport are a must for any applicant. The candidates must be highly organized and be able to work efficiently on multiple projects to meet tight deadlines. The position also involves frequent use of technology; training on high-speed production printers and copiers will be provided, but strength with computers and technology are a must. Wide Format Operator Responsibilities Run and maintain equipment including printers, plotters and laminators Review shop materials and supplies and report to Production Manager for ordering Assemble projects as indicated on work order Package projects for customer pick-up or shipping Perform Site visits and interact with customer as needed Installation of signage Efficiently manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain vehicles and equipment Following all OSHA and safety requirements as appropriate in a Sign Shop Production facility Wide Format Operator Skills Prioritize a schedule that revolves around tight deadlines Anticipate the customer’s need before they do Be a solutions-provider, not just a design or production professional Desire to learn and operate state-of the art printing equipment and grow your skill set Communicate thoroughly and proactively with the staff and client on the status of projects Wide Format Operator Requirements Experience with sign making software Wide-format printing and color management experience Sign making or print production experience preferred Excellent communication Extremely organized and proactive decision maker Driver's License Salary: $20-24 / hour
