About the Role NOW CFO is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager for a client that is a leading dairy company with a fast‑growing private label brand. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for delivering world‑class contract execution and ensuring on‑time delivery of products to customers. This includes managing FTL, LTL, and cold chain shipping, overseeing documentation, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and maintaining high standards of customer service. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment and takes pride in accuracy, timeliness, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and fulfill each contract from sales approval to delivery
Ensure all documentation from suppliers, customers, and internal teams is accurate and complete
Monitor collection and delivery schedules, communicating potential delays proactively
Archive documentation for easy retrieval and reference by relevant team members
Lead weekly meetings with sales and internal teams to provide status updates and address challenges
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce errors, delays, and double handling
Freight and Vendor Management
Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics vendors
Oversee domestic shipping operations, including refrigerated and ambient shipments
Align service providers with contract requirements through cost‑performance analysis
Maintain up‑to‑date freight pricing models and databases for regular lanes
Communicate trends, risks, and opportunities in the freight industry to the internal team
Optimize shipping methods for small lot, sample, and groupage requirements
Warehouse and Storage Oversight
Manage third‑party storage contracts and periodically visit facilities to ensure quality standards
Assess warehousing systems and recommend improvements to support route‑to‑market options
Sample Management
Coordinate sample shipments from request to delivery within 24 hours
Ensure compliance documentation is complete for import authorities and customers
Keep sales personnel updated on shipment progress and proactively resolve potential issues
Finance, Accounting, and Documentation
Collaborate with internal and external accounting teams to ensure accurate financial tracking for contracts
Supervise accounts payable related to logistics operations
Assist in implementing logistics‑related improvements in accounting systems
Maintain an organized digital library of certifications, customer‑specific documentation, product specifications, and visual records
Qualifications Required
5+ years of logistics management experience, ideally in the food or dairy industry
Proven experience with FTL, LTL, and cold chain shipping
Strong track record in contract execution and post‑sales support
Excellent communication, proactive thinking, and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and relevant logistics software
Willingness to handle urgent responsibilities outside standard working hours
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field
Ability to adapt and thrive in a growing and fast‑paced environment
Multilingual skills (Spanish, Korean, Mandarin, Japanese, or Arabic)
