This role is for a Senior Human Services Caseworker with a focus on Quality Assurance. The applicant must be able to interpret and explain policy-related material for Intake, Child Protective Services (CPS), Ongoing, Foster Care, Adult Services, and Adult Protective Services, as well as possess excellent oral and written communication skills. The applicant must be able to identify key performance indicators and help staff adjust their work styles to achieve maximum output. If you are an out-of-the-box solution-focused thinker with a keen eye for details, this may be the job for you. Minimum Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in social work or other human services field; or a Bachelor’s degree in any field accompanied by a minimum of two years of appropriate and related experience in a human services related area. Preferences

Master’s degree in social work or another human services‑related field Experience with teaching or training large groups of staff 5 years or more of experience with the following: APS, CPS, and Foster Care Entering information into OASIS and Peer Place Two years or more of experience with the following: Quality Assurance Supervision Special Requirements (if applicable)

All DSS staff are required to provide emergency human services work, including staffing emergency shelters in the event of a community disaster. Candidates must pass criminal history, child protective services, and DMV background checks. Resource/foster parents for youth in the Prince William foster care program may not be employed by the Prince William Department of Social Services. Resource/foster parents for youth from other localities are welcome to apply. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive for work. Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Possible after-hours work for emergencies or special assignments. Following the first 90 days of in-person training, telework may be permitted at the supervisor's discretion. Telework eligibility is subject to change as business needs warrant; there is no future guarantee of telework. Hiring Salary Range
