Adtalem operates on a hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week (Monday–Thursday).
Job Description: Opportunity at a Glance. The Student Engagement Specialist is primarily responsible for ensuring that employees of our healthcare and healthcare-adjacent partners are aware of Adtalem programs, are motivated to enroll, and receive cohesive support from our account management teams. The role focuses on growing qualifying student leads and developing new sources of leads from partner institutions.
This role is location specific and requires the candidate to be based in Houston, Texas.
Responsibilities
Engage directly with employees of healthcare and healthcare-adjacent partners to share information and motivation to seek enrollment at Adtalem institutions; identify alumni at partner institutions who can serve as references and connect them to prospective students.
Work with Account Management to strategically select, source, and schedule onsite events at partner institutions; in the field 3–4 days per week.
Capture relevant information for each student lead and collaborate with enrollment teams to ensure correct data collection.
Target a minimum of 50 quality conversations per month, defined as conversations that lead to highly qualified leads with a +10% chance of enrollment.
Source additional leads to marketing for nurturing and may qualify existing or new lead sources via calls, email, or other communication modes.
Attend tradeshows and industry events where employee enrollment is a core focus.
Performs other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required
3+ years in Customer Service, Student enrollment, or prior experience serving healthcare institutions
Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM, PowerBI and/or other reporting tools
Knowledge of the nursing profession, healthcare career paths, and understanding of nursing degrees and credentials (may be learned on the job)
Understanding of academic cycles and B2B/BC nature of enrollment revenue
Ability to discern interest level, engage in direct and indirect communication, and connect to prospective students
Compensation and Benefits Salary: The expected salary range for this position is between $65,000 and $90,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility. Our Talent Acquisition Team will answer questions about salary requirements.
