Practice Manager, Oncology Clinical Operations — MU Health Care
MU Health Care is looking for a strategic leader to serve as Practice Manager for Oncology Clinical Operations, overseeing a multi-specialty oncology clinic and breast imaging center. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver with a passion for operational excellence, patient-centered care, and team development. This role offers the opportunity to drive innovation by implementing new services and supportive programs in partnership with clinical leadership. You’ll lead a diverse team of licensed and non-licensed professionals, ensuring optimal staffing, productivity, and continuity of care.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the daily operations of a multi-specialty oncology clinic (10 disease sites and supportive and palliative care).
Program administrator for our breast service line accreditation.
Implement new services and supportive programs in collaboration with Sr. Director and Medical Director.
Responsible, in conjunction with the nurse supervisor, for a variety of licensed and non-licensed personnel (RN, LPN, CMA, CTA-A, PSR, Service Coordinator, Nurse Navigator, Patient Navigator, Business Support).
Establish, maintain, and monitor staffing levels, productivity, and throughput.
Confer with supervisors, departmental chairs and administrators, practice physicians, and others to resolve operational problems and promote excellence in the delivery of care.
Coordinate and direct the development of processes and procedures for assigned areas, compatible with MU Health Care policies.
Develop and produce monthly practice activity reports related to clinical, financial, and operational outcomes.
Represent the area of responsibility as needed or requested by the supervisor or administration.
Manage the development, coordination, and maintenance of daily staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and continuity of care.
Monitor and oversee time and attendance in alignment with MU Health Care policies and practices, ensuring accuracy of records and timely payroll approval.
May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
Two (2) years of experience in a healthcare setting.
One (1) year of supervisory experience.
Completion of a health-care related fellowship program and a master's degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related area may be substituted for the experience and/or the supervisory requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a health or business-related field.
Master’s degree in business or healthcare administration.
Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Experience in a medical practice or ambulatory care experience.
Experience With Finance, Budgets And Process Improvement strongly preferred.
Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
