Overview JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Production Supervisor – 3rd Shift to join our growing team. Under the direct supervision of the Production Manager, the Group Manager will manage and implement all production operations and shop activities, driving key performance indicators (KPIs), including SQDCI, and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to support JELD-WEN’s mission.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage and implement shop floor activities following established procedures and approved processes consistent with JELD-WEN’s mission.

Provide direct leadership to lead employees and their subordinates in assigned production areas, supporting plant operations, goals and objectives.

Act as a liaison between upper management and hourly employees, providing timely feedback up and down the organizational hierarchy.

Supervise all production and production support operations, driving SQDCI and CI activities throughout the process.

Proactively develop and manage team performance and capabilities based on company KPIs.

Ensure team activities, equipment, facilities, and personnel are operated and maintained in alignment with plant production goals and objectives.

Assist the Plant Manager and Production Manager in establishing and monitoring overall plant performance for production and quality control standards in accordance with SQDCI and CI methodologies.

Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment, and make recommendations for adjustments to support CI initiatives and objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in a related field and 1–3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the window and door industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

5–7 years of applicable work experience in the window and door industry, or at least 7–10 years as determined by plant management.

Fundamental knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing process improvement techniques, including SQDCI, OT‑D, TPS, and CI methodologies.

Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, technical aptitude, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to drive manufacturing process improvements throughout the production process.

Strong team skills, including the ability to coach and develop work teams and provide training on CI methods to subordinates.
