Education: We prepare tomorrow`s healthcare professionals and biomedical researchers from all backgrounds by facilitating learning within innovative and integrated curricula and team-oriented interprofessional education to ensure a highly skilled workforce.
Research: We develop and support a rich array of outstanding health sciences research programs, centers and resources. We provide infrastructure and opportunities for collaboration among disciplines throughout and beyond our university to support outstanding research. We foster programs in the areas of basic, translational, mechanistic and population research. Position Summary The UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, founded in 1975, is a National Cancer Institute ( NCI )-designated comprehensive cancer center. The Center's mission is to reduce cancer occurrence and death in North Carolina and the nation through research, treatment, training, and outreach.
This position will provide program support for Dr. Lynne Wagner. This includes helping to direct and manage Dr. Wagner's research portfolio including extramurally-funded research projects, and the research program she co-leads through the ECOG - ACRIN Cancer Research Group.
Responsibilities include working collaboratively with Dr. Wagner on grant proposals and on funded projects, including creating deliverables, timelines, monitoring team communication, and managing and tracking progress to ensure goals and deadlines are met. Participation in research proposal budget development and post-award financial tracking and budget management is a responsibility for this position. Responsibilities will also include supervising the work of research team staff to ensure key performance metrics are met and project timelines and deliverables are completed. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
