Floor Care Tech (Full-Time, PM Shift)
Apply to join The Facilities Group as a Floor Care Technician. This position is full‑time, PM shift, covering Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am.

What You’ll Be Doing We are looking for an energetic floor technician to keep our facilities’ floors clean. You will be responsible for maintaining all floor areas and for sustaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. You will be responsible for dusting, wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing floors, removing spots from carpets, performing bonnet and carpet extraction cleaning, disposing of trash, and assisting with hazardous waste collection. You will operate floor sweepers, buffers, strippers, canister vacuum cleaners, and shop vacuums, and you will wear adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with chemicals and equipment.
Floor Tech Responsibilities
Cleaning offices, hallways, common areas, and other spaces.
Moving furniture before and after cleaning.
Dusting, wet mopping, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors.
Operating floor equipment including extractors and buffing machines.
Using hand and power tools such as floor polishers, vacuum cleaners, mops, and floor strippers.
Inspecting floors for damage and performing minor repairs.
Measuring chemicals correctly.
Operating chemical dispensing units.
Labeling chemicals correctly.
Cleaning, maintaining, and storing equipment and PPE proficiently.
Keeping an inventory of floor areas and scheduling cleaning and maintenance duties.
Reporting maintenance issues to supervisor.
Assisting with hazardous waste collection as requested by supervisor.
Other responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.
Floor Tech Requirements
High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent preferred.
Prior professional janitorial or cleaning experience.
Prior floor care experience preferred.
Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to pass a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations.
Authorized to work in the U.S. – We use E‑Verify.
