3rd Shift Manufacturing Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing warehouse environment. This role ensures the efficient operation of machinery and electrical systems to minimize downtime and maximize productivity while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production machinery and facility equipment.
Conduct emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and perform scheduled maintenance as needed.
Execute mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on production machines.
Perform machinist duties, including diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing, and making adjustments.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to carry out required maintenance tasks.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
Address plumbing and carpentry needs within the facility.
Utilize hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to complete tasks.
Detect and report faulty operations, defective materials, or unusual situations to supervisors.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in electronic/electrical maintenance within an industrial setting, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
Strong technical skills, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Strong knowledge of industrial electronics, PLC programming, VFDs, and automation systems.
Ability to diagnose, repair, and install electrical and control systems in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders.
Experience with preventative maintenance practices.
Familiarity with plumbing, carpentry, and general facility maintenance tasks.
Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools, as well as testing equipment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the workday.
Capability to lift and move items over 75 pounds frequently.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work Environment This position is highly active and based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
