Job Summary The Inventory Control Clerk I supports the flow of materials to ensure production needs are met. This role focuses on performing basic inventory control tasks by following established procedures under close supervision, while developing skills in material handling and inventory systems.

Job Responsibilities

Assist in stocking incoming components in designated storage locations

Pull and deliver materials to the production floor as directed

Follow established procedures to maintain line clearance and segregation of parts

Perform basic data entry for part quantities issued, transferred, or adjusted in the inventory system

Receive and issue goods under close supervision

Notify supervisor of any quantity discrepancies without attempting resolution

Identify and segregate expired shelf-life materials and report to supervisor

Support cycle counts and physical inventory by following step‑by‑step instructions

Education/Certifications

High School Diploma or GED required

Requirements

Typically less than one (1) year of related inventory control or material handling experience

Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures

Willingness to learn company policies, processes, and inventory systems

Strong attention to detail in handling and recording materials

Works effectively as part of a team; seeks guidance when issues arise
