Job Overview
The Production Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of production, quality, efficiency, employee performance, safety, and housekeeping within a manufacturing department or departments.

A Day In The Life
Ensure effective employee relations, mentorship, and development. Align schedules; ensure department employees are present at the start of each shift and in the correct work areas. Balance quality, efficiency, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results, and continuously seek improvements in all areas. Supervise departmental performance measures, including visual controls, and provide regular progress reports to the operations manager. Perform accident investigations and recommend preventive actions. Facilitate cross-training among employees. Spend approximately 80% of shift on the production floor, demonstrating leadership and results orientation. Plan over a 30-day span and develop action plans to meet objectives. Handle supervision tasks, including hiring, retention, and performance reviews. Maintain attendance records in E-time, and manage inventory and production data in SAP. 3–5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in manufacturing. Kaizen and/or Lean training is advantageous. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel. High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
