Our client, Tandym Tech, a recognized media and entertainment organization located in Centennial, Colorado, is hiring a Master Control Operator to support live and scheduled programming across networks. The role involves validating content before it airs and ensuring seamless on‑air execution.
About the Opportunity
Assignment Length: 6+ months (possible extension/conversation)
Schedule: 4 ten‑hour shifts (morning, swing, or overnight; 24/7/365 operations)
Setting: Onsite
Responsibilities
Monitor and manage live and recorded program feeds for stations nationwide.
Validate and load commercial playlists, verify show content, and ensure all media elements are properly prepared for air.
Escalate and troubleshoot content, automation, or playback issues in real time.
Conduct rehearsals and spot checks to confirm readiness prior to air.
Maintain accurate logs and follow established standard operating procedures during on‑air events.
Collaborate with technical teams supporting the migration to the new cloud‑based distribution platform.
Qualifications
Completion of a relevant technical trade program or Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Film, Media Technology, Broadcasting, or related field.
Strong interest in broadcast technology and media operations.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to stay focused in a fast‑paced, live environment.
Desired Skills
Familiarity with Broadcast Automation and/or Media Playout systems (training provided).
Basic technical troubleshooting or operational experience in a media environment.
