Job Summary The Operations Manager leads manufacturing processes and personnel driving safety, quality, production efficiency, and profitability. Reporting to the Assembly Plant Manager, this role oversees departmental operations, cross-functional teams, and continuous process improvement to meet customer demands and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate production department activities through core team members
Manage cross-functional extended teams across the organization
Develop and continuously improve processes using root cause analysis
Promote safe work practices and superior environmental performance
Ensure consistent manufacture of high-quality products
Drive achievement of all departmental goals, metrics, and profitability targets
Staff department to meet production/customer requirements while enhancing workforce flexibility
Conduct performance evaluations and ratings for departmental staff
Qualifications & Requirements Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree (Technical/Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience
5+ years professional experience, including 3+ years in managerial/leadership roles
Prior supervisory experience and/or formal supervisory training required
Essential Skills & Competencies
Leadership : Excellent leadership, organizational, and motivational skills
Communication : Superior oral and written communication; effective with all organizational levels
Problem‑Solving : Ability to handle employee/production issues professionally and implement change with employee buy‑in
Technical Knowledge : Basic understanding of ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, manufacturing processes, and company products
Customer Focus : Strong commitment to customer satisfaction
Safety & Quality : Uncompromising standards for safety, environment, health, and quality
Software Proficiency : MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook (MES, SAP, and Apriso preferred)
Policy Knowledge : Familiarity with company policies (anti-harassment, affirmative action, merit rating/PDS, etc.)
