Job Description The Senior Logistics Analyst provides strategic and tactical leadership on assigned commodities, developing and implementing commodity strategies aligned with Gorbel’s quality, delivery, cost and innovation goals.
Responsibilities
Organize shipment and delivery of goods worldwide in a timely, professional, and cost‑effective manner.
Utilize data to ensure supply partners use the best combination of cost, service and quality to meet customer requirements.
Inform, convince and persuade others to action on key commodity strategy initiatives and objectives.
Champion functional initiatives and/or projects, providing coaching, mentoring and support to team members when appropriate.
Develop new, support existing and execute functional strategies based upon key market trends.
Manage new and existing suppliers through formal supplier assessments, providing regular KPI scorecard feedback and corrective actions to achieve win‑win outcomes.
Drive improvements, leading training and utilizing continuous‑improvement tools, principles and processes.
Achieve excellent results in annual cost, delivery, quality and innovation improvement projects using data analytics based on KPI results.
Negotiate and implement Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
Perform other related duties and various special projects as required and assigned.
Required Qualifications
College degree and/or 5+ years of supply‑chain/operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
High degree of business ethics and accountability.
Experience with and leadership of continuous‑improvement initiatives (e.g., lean tools and principles).
Strong business and financial acumen.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
Proficiency with ERP systems.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
Work Environment ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements:
Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
Sitting and working at a desk/computer for extended periods.
Primary work environment is a professional corporate setting.
