Overview
Feed Delivery Coordinator at Mountaire Farms. Responsible for scheduling feed for growers to ensure adequate feed inventory is always maintained. Completes all returns and credits. Communication centers on gathering information from growers regarding feed inventories, placement date and any other required information. Responsible for compliance to all company policies along with local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations. Major Duties & Responsibilities
Daily ordering and scheduling of feed for designated farms. Oversees specific regions with direct impact on millions of square feet of broiler house capacity. Makes sound decisions to achieve feed schedule targets, optimize feed delivery and manufacturing resources. Optimizes scheduling to accurately project feed needs. Makes decisions that directly impact broiler nutrition, rate of gains and feed conversion. Manages feed inventory at the farm level to ensure adequate supply for broiler flocks. Ability to manage feed for several different target weights. Daily contact with growers, the service team and other employees to properly maintain the feed scheduling system. Identifies, troubleshoots and works to correct delivery issues that impact the scheduling system. Tracks, updates and reports key performance metrics for the department. Utilizes analytical skills to identify trends and opportunities for improvement that further optimize company resources. Uses information to make changes that have direct impact on the bottom line. Completes all feed scheduling documents and processes all returns and credits. Assesses theoretical vs. actual reports and expedites proper accounting processes and settlements in a timely manner. Cross trains with Dispatchers to understand the impact of the business. Responsible for compliance to all company policies, local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations, including internal policies with safety and environmental. Must be able to work first shift, 8:00AM - 5:00PM. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. College degree in an associated field preferred. Relevant experience in accounting, demand planning/forecasting or scheduling. On-the-job training and scheduling system training provided. The ability to comprehend and learn scheduling systems quickly. High attention to detail. Accurate accounting skills and the ability to analyze data to produce best outcomes. Clear communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to articulate desired outcomes with all team members. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Requires the ability to work long hours in an office environment and must be available during weekends and off hours. Must share a common goal and work well with others to foster a positive and productive work environment. About Us
