This position is located at the Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL). Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on PLC-controlled baggage and conveyor systems. Accurately document all maintenance activities. Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs. Operate equipment such as golf carts, forklifts, and company vehicles. Support baggage handling operations by clearing jams. Input maintenance data into the computerized management system. Respond to maintenance calls as needed. Follow safety protocols and participate in training. Perform additional duties as assigned. Physical Demands
Requires standing, walking, handling, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, and working in confined spaces. Must lift up to 49 pounds regularly and work outdoors in various weather conditions around aircraft and heavy equipment. Work Environment
Similar to airport operations, involving exposure to moving mechanical parts, heights, weather, fumes, chemicals, noise, and vibrations. Qualifications
High School diploma or GED Valid Driver’s License At least 1 year of maintenance experience Experience with industrial electrical systems, including 3-phase motors and 480V Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting skills Familiarity with airport operations is a plus Intermediate knowledge of PLC control systems Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to read blueprints and schematics Ability to obtain airport security badge Availability for 1st or 2nd shift, including weekends and holidays Oshkosh is committed to accommodating applicants with disabilities.
