We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structured Cabling Project Manager to join our team in Nevada. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of structured cabling projects, from initial planning and design to execution and completion. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. Coordinate with clients, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements and ensure alignment with expectations. Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine project feasibility and requirements.
Design and Engineering:
Collaborate with design teams to develop detailed cabling infrastructure plans, including layouts, diagrams, and specifications. Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations. Review and approve design documentation, including schematics, drawings, and bills of materials.
Installation and Implementation:
Manage the installation and implementation of structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic cables, racks, cabinets, and associated hardware. Supervise onsite technicians and subcontractors to ensure work is performed according to project specifications and safety standards. Conduct quality assurance inspections and testing to verify system performance and functionality.
Project Monitoring and Control:
Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies. Track project expenses, resource utilization, and schedule adherence. Communicate regularly with clients and stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address any concerns or changes.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including as-built drawings, material lists, and change orders. Prepare comprehensive project reports for management and clients, summarizing key milestones, accomplishments, and challenges.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Project Manager in telecommunications or AV industry. Strong knowledge of cabling standards and protocols, including AVIXA and BICSI. Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. PMP certification or equivalent is a plus. BICSI RCDD or AVIXA CTS-D certifications are highly desirable. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed. Benefits:
