is currently recruiting for a

Regional Recruitment and Engagement Specialist

to support employee engagement at our Skilled Nursing Facilities in the

Akron, Canton, Massillon, Columbus, and Springfield, OH

areas. This position will require 60-80% travel supporting our Skilled Nursing Facilities located in the Midwest-Crusader region, which spans the Canton, Akron, Massillon, Columbus, and Springfield markets. Mileage reimbursement will be provided. PURPOSE/BELIEF STATEMENT Engaged employees are the key to success at CommuniCare. The employee engagement specialist will join the campus team and help to create a positive and productive work environment where employees feel valued and supported. They will help develop and implement employee engagement programs, recommend and enhance solutions to the employee experience, and be a skilled communicator with the ability to build relationships with employees and leadership teams. QUALIFICATIONS A minimum of 5+ years of HR/engagement experience including a proven track record full spectrum, operational HR client service delivery system across a multisite, multi-geographic portfolio. May also have gained experience through roles in operations or other relatable background experiences. Experience implementing efficient, scalable processes/systems to support rapid growth and operationalize delivery of employee engagement platform models to build a Talent Community. Extensive experience, expertise and knowledge across the Employee Life Cycle including proficiency and practice in the following areas: performance management systems, employee engagement, employee appreciation and wellbeing. Strong coaching skills and proven track record of mentoring and delivering results by creating followership through people. Motivates through relationship building verses asserting authority. Ability to travel frequently to provide routine assessments and insure ongoing initiative implementations and excellence. Passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion. Strong relationship building and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across multiple stakeholders using candor and persuasion. Able to balance organizational projects with routine assessment and feedback demands. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including ability to communicate in ways that inform, persuade, and engage target audiences and distill complex information into clear, concise content accessible to employees at all levels. Education Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources Management, Management, Business Management, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or closely related major or equivalent in experience. HR related certification highly preferred (i.e., SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, etc.) JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Meet regularly with the Director of Engagement and other Engagement Specialists to develop a collaborative partnership to ensure the elevation of the employee experience. Utilize various company reporting to review the following: number of hires, number of turnovers, recruitment efficiencies, average length of employment, and other related engagement points looking for positive trends and elevating if necessary. Review feedback from the Engagement Survey platform to monitor trends, look for areas of improvement, and ways to elevate the employee experience and build CommuniCare culture. Execute regular campus visits and complete provided checklist, elevating any issues to your RDOs and VP of HR. Keep track of campus visit follow-ups to ensure they are being done promptly. Attend regular daily staff meetings at campuses to ensure they are effective, have consistency, and noting any helpful info regarding engagement or trends to improve morale. Strive to become an employee advocate by engaging employees at each visit to a campus. Review, drive and ensure all recognition and engagement initiatives and efforts are being followed at each campus including calendars, events, monthly parties (all shifts), True Blue program, employee of the month, etc. Improve and provide continuous monitoring of the hiring process to ensure an appropriate level of professionalism and engagement of applicants all way through the orientation process. Drive engagement through the True-Blue program and ensure the basics as outlined are in place at each campus. Ensure that all new CommuniCare communications, development of programs, and new strategies, are actively being promoted within the campuses. Validate new hire orientations to ensure all new hires are a vital part of them and hear the same message, have the same experience, and all steps are completed on time. Conduct a pulse check on all new hires to ensure they have the tools to be successful in their roles. Monitor and be on the lookout for any retention barriers and provide feedback to the team. Coach and assist HRMs with engagement trends, recruitment, and retention. Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and ensure they are being put in place at each campus.
