Hourly, Health Benefits, Dental, Vision, 401K, Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays. Job Summary: This is a key leadership position in the field for Dynetek Solutions. This team member will supervise 3 to 6 individuals on a job site, depending on experience. In some cases, this team member may have to supervise small crews in different locations. Ensuring safety for their team and delivering a quality finished product to the client are the key responsibilities. Understanding the nuances of different projects and how to navigate obstacles is central to this position. Getting the best out of the team to create cohesiveness and camaraderie is also essential. A successful team member will manage the process from start to completion. Responsibilities and Duties: Must follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure appropriate safety precautions are taken at all times. Prepare the job by calling in locates, ensuring tickets are cleared, permits are in place, and all utilities are located and accounted for. Ensure that the bore crews have all the equipment and tools needed to complete the job. Supervise jobs by walking the job site and assisting the bore crew as needed. Operate directional drill and support equipment for underground utility or training purposes. Understand directional boring principles, mixing systems, and the use of mud vac rigs, etc. Secure work site, equipment, and materials at the end of each shift. Help crew members clean up the job site after work is done, place temporary asphalt patches or concrete on streets as needed, and replace sidewalks as needed. Drive/tow truck with drill to job site. Perform preventive maintenance by greasing, oiling, and making minor repairs on equipment. Perform other duties as required or assigned. Competencies for the Job Ability and Skills: Ability to lead effectively and supervise a group of people. Ability to train, teach, and explain processes and procedures to teammates. Ability to communicate ideas with clarity and confidence. Ability to identify and solve problems. Ability to identify and prevent job hazards. Ability to read and comprehend machining instructions, blueprints, process sheets, or layouts on workpieces. Work responsibly and communicate effectively as a crew leader. Knowledge: Drilling experience of at least 2 years. Understanding of utility locating laws and safety compliance procedures. Ability to read and understand construction prints. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Able to work outdoors in all types of weather. Able to work with loud noises. Able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background check and drug testing. Able to meet all DOT requirements (physical and drug testing). Able to comply with job physical demands (e.g., standing, bending, walking, driving, etc.). Able to lift, load, and carry workpieces or equipment of a minimum of 50 pounds on a daily basis.
