Position Summary The Loader is responsible for securing the merchandise for shipment and loading it safely, and in the proper sequence.
Daily Responsibilities
Stacks, secures, and shrinks wraps pallets in preparation of shipment.
Ensures the correct pallets get onto the appropriate truck in the right sequence.
Responsible for the loading of all Inter-Branch shipments.
Unloads all trucks of empty pallets and debris.
Sweeps and cleans trucks prior to loading.
Follows all safety and security procedures. Spots for forklift drivers to keep people out of fall danger zones.
Follows all established inventory preparation guidelines and requirements.
Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.

Working Conditions
Due to forklifts and other heavy equipment traveling through the store, the environment can be noisy and dusty, and may emit gas fumes.
Doors at the front are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes.
May have to handle merchandise and work with sharp tool edges.
Standing and walking for long periods of time on concrete surface.
Some overtime may be required.
Tools, supplies and related merchandise may contain hazardous materials.
Hours may vary due to operational need.
Qualifications Minimum Job Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
Bi‑lingual a plus but not required
Must pass Drug Test and Background Check
Must be able to lift items weighing up to 65 lbs.
Education
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience
Shipping / Receiving or comparable experience with 2 years of relevant work experience
Certifications/Training
Pitco Electric Pallet Jack
Other Skills and Abilities
Basic math skills and legible handwriting
Required bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items with need to lift and move bulky and heavy items without assistance up to 75 pounds.
Ability to follow instructions and complete required training
Ability to work independently and/or as a team member
PAY RATE: $ 21.00 - $23.00
