Delivery Specialist role at O\'Reilly Auto Parts. The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also collect money on COD deliveries and pick up customer returns.
Responsibilities
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner. Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections, and other related tasks. Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and complete daily vehicle inspections prior to operating. Keep delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and monies collected secure at all times. Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and complete driver return slips. Communicate customer problems or special needs to store management; report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately. Ensure fuel tank is filled and secure vehicle at end of day; clock in/out according to policy. Perform other duties as assigned, including customer service, stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, etc. May assist customers, act as cashier, and/or help with merchandising tasks when business dictates. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations. Driving record must meet the standard set in the company\'s 14/18-point record system. Must possess a legally required state driver\'s license and meet company driving eligibility requirements. Desirable: Familiar with automotive parts; ability to operate other light store equipment. Benefits
