Overview The Shift Manager leads the experience: handles and oversees crew schedules, inspires and empowers crew and managers, supervises food safety and cleanliness, takes action on safety, security, inventory, and profitability, encourages learning, and drives results–oriented performance.
Responsibilities Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience. Responsibilities include:
Planning for each shift
Monitoring performance during the shift
Taking action to meet McDonald’s standards
Monitoring safety, security, and profitability
Communicating with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for a great shift
Meeting targets and helping assigned departments meet their goals
As a Shift Manager, You May Be Responsible For

Qualifications
Passion for helping and serving others (customers and fellow team members)
Strong customer service and support focus
Effective communication skills and anticipation of customer needs
Ability to provide solutions and make decisions in a fast‑paced environment
Previous leadership experience preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail or hospitality environment
Flexible schedule and positive team‑player attitude
Must be 18 years or older
