Overview Provides process and project engineering support services by performing the duties listed below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Troubleshoot problems with production processes in all areas of the facility. Conduct investigations, recommendations and corrections/solutions to management.

Develops design, installation cost, operating cost, and benefit / return for Capital and Expense projects.

Develop standard operating procedures. Reviews standard operating procedures for accuracy; updates and makes changes as necessary.

Trains employees in existing and new production processes and equipment.

Generate reports on data findings and submits to appropriate management. Generate reports for capital and expense project spending as well as return on investment.

Analyzes plant data and develops trends from information gathered.

Recommends and implements procedures to reduce plant operating costs in regard to energy, waste and processes.

Any other duties or projects assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Chemical Engineering from four-year college or university; and one to five years' experience in process and/or project engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Skills Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Reasoning Ability Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
