O'Reilly Auto Parts Overview The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This role may involve collecting money on C.O.D. deliveries and picking up customer returns. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Essential Job Functions Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner. Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections. Keep vehicles clean and maintained; complete daily vehicle inspections prior to operation. Keep delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and monies collected secure at all times. Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slips. Communicate any problems or special needs from customers to store management. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to the store manager immediately. Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure the vehicle at the end of the day. Clock in/out according to company policy. Assist with other duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, and checking in stock orders. May occasionally assist customers as a cashier and help with merchandising tasks when business dictates. All other duties as assigned. Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities Required: Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations. Driving record must meet the standard in the company's 14/18-point system. Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company driving eligibility requirements. Desire to work in automotive parts environment is a plus. Preferred Familiar with automotive parts. Ability to operate other light store equipment. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
