We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our team. This position requires 40 hours per week in our Las Vegas office (this job is not remote).
Location: Las Vegas, NV | Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 / year | Department: Water/Wastewater
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work independently on large projects and/or assist other civil engineers as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
Perform engineering designs, prepare reports, develop plans, prepare specifications, and produce cost estimates for various water and wastewater infrastructure projects, permitting and alternative analysis.
Prepare, coordinate, and monitor projects from initial conception to final completion.
Monitor compliance of projects to ensure industry codes and practices are adhered to and performance standards are met.
Work in a team environment with studies, detailed design and engineering services during construction.
Provide technical direction to a team to complete design tasks and elements.
Requirements
Civil Engineering Degree.
PE license preferred (not required).
Minimum of eight years of experience in public infrastructure design and construction‑related engineering services with at least two years of project management experience.
Demonstrated experience working in the public infrastructure field.
Experience with construction‑related engineering services, including reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, issuing engineer directives, etc.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong online team collaboration skills.
