Gas Operations Supervisor

CenterPoint Energy is seeking a Gas Operations Supervisor for its Indiana & Ohio Gas Team, based in Greenfield, IN. The role involves supervising and directing the operation and maintenance of the distribution system according to established plans, policies, and procedures. The supervisor will ensure a safe and adequate energy supply for customers, coach and develop the Field Operations Team, and support company and corporate goals through effective teamwork. The essential functions include: Observing, coaching, and developing employees to enhance performance and create a productive environment. Conducting timely performance discussions. Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and upholding the company's affirmative action commitments. Implementing strategic plans for Field Operations and monitoring results to ensure customer satisfaction, safety, cost-effectiveness, and quality standards. Participating in departmental goal setting, budgeting, and contract administration, aligning with organizational values and objectives. Coordinating fleet maintenance and managing supplies and equipment. Managing activities to maximize customer satisfaction, including regular communication and timely resolution of complaints. Administering policies and procedures to promote safety, supervising emergency responses, and ensuring safety equipment availability. Responding to emergency situations at any time, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications include: Education: A Business Administration Degree or equivalent leadership experience. Experience: At least 7 years of leadership in gas distribution or related fields. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, operate a computer and office equipment, and safely operate a vehicle. The role involves working indoors and outdoors, sometimes in adverse weather conditions, with occasional overtime, rotating shifts, and emergency callouts.
