Job Description Position Summary:
Ensures the delivery of high-quality work and on-time project completion for all assigned projects at Power Contracting LLC. This role involves optimizing resource utilization to maximize ROI. The Project Manager (PM) does not have hiring or termination authority; these are typically managed by the Area Manager, District Manager, or Regional Vice President. The PM should be familiar with the Power Contracting LLC Employee Handbook.
The primary responsibility is to complete assigned tasks within quality standards and timelines, satisfying both client and company expectations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Upholding and promoting Power Contracting LLC’s Core Values to employees and clients.
Supporting the organization's vision and strategy, demonstrating initiative, and taking accountability.
Maintaining high ethical standards in daily activities and interactions.
Providing project supervision and overseeing workflow.
Ensuring a safe working environment and adherence to safety policies.
Maintaining quality control standards.
Creating and updating project schedules.
Monitoring progress and adjusting resources to meet milestones.
Communicating project status to management and clients.
Undertaking additional duties as assigned.
Understanding utility company policies for effective communication.
Demonstrating expertise in substation and/or line construction, including familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code.
Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
Requirements
Strong background in project budgeting and cost control.
Proficiency in project scheduling tools like Microsoft Project or P6.
Ability to forecast project estimates accurately.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Negotiation and decision-making abilities.
Management and business acumen.
Leadership and motivational skills.
High energy and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
Proven ability to develop customer relationships.
Goal-oriented attitude.
Educational requirements: A four-year degree in Construction Management or related field with relevant experience, or equivalent experience in civil or electrical construction.
Self-motivated, independent, team-oriented, customer-focused, capable of managing multiple tasks.
