ACI/Herzog Joint Venture, along with our key subcontractors, is seeking applicants for the Hudson Bergen Light Rail operation located in Hudson County, New Jersey. The Joint Venture provides FRA/FTA compliant transportation, equipment maintenance, dispatching, right-of-way maintenance, and facility maintenance services for 20 distinct client properties. We currently operate the Tren Urbano heavy rail service in San Juan, Puerto Rico and CTDOT’s Hartford intercity service in Connecticut. Position

Track Foreman
to join our team. The pay rate for this position is
$30.00 per hour . Responsibilities
Supervise installation/maintenance of railroad track and embankments, including special track work, road crossings, signage, and rail lubricators Knowledge of hand and power tools and a wide variety of sizes and types of track machines, including spike pullers, spike drivers, tie adze, hydraulic rail jacks, power wrenches, tie boring machines, rail drills, rail grinders, and rail saws Operate highway trucks equipped with rail guide wheels, hydraulic booms, and lift gates to remove and replace ties, rails, fasteners, and related track components May work as a member of a crew or independently Engage in and promote ACI-Herzog’s culture and essential behaviors; maintain regular attendance and punctuality Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as a background check and motor vehicle report Education And/or Experience
High School diploma or equivalent 5 years of track maintenance experience Ability to complete work under time pressures and maintain composure under emergency situations Must be able to work well with others Able to read, write, and communicate (speak, hear, and understand) English Language Skills
Ability to speak, read and write English in a work setting Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to write regulatory and departmental reports and correspondence Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees Mathematical Skills
Proficiency in basic arithmetic and units of measure; ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions Ability to compute ratios, rates, percentages and interpret graphs and tabular data Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must successfully complete Light Rail operations training program and Light Rail Operator recertification annually Ability to acquire a Class A license within 90 days and pass a DOT physical Possession of a valid driver’s license and any other certificates, licenses and registrations as required by law Must be CPR/AED certified Physical Demands

Ability to distinguish visual colors Regularly stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus Work Environment
