Quality Assurance Technician - 2nd Shift Weekends The Fresh Factory

is hiring for the

Quality Assurance Technician - 2nd Shift Weekends

role. This is a primarily weekend position with Monday and Friday added to reach 40 hours per week. If you desire only weekend employment, please note it in your resume and we will consider that.

Location:

On-site in Carol Stream, IL

Schedule:

Friday 2 PM - 10 PM; Saturday 6 PM - 6 AM; Sunday 6 PM - 6 AM; Monday 2 PM - 10 PM

Pay:

$18-26/hr, depending on experience and skillset, plus $0.35 shift differential.

Responsibilities

Test and release finished product samples

Monitor key processing Critical Control Points

Periodically test packaging integrity, fill weights, and fill levels

Inspect finished goods packaging

Collect retain samples

Conduct pre-operational inspections and release equipment for use

Perform environmental monitoring swabs, read and record results

Inspect and document the condition of inbound and outbound trucks

Participate in regular Food Safety Team meetings

Ensure the plant is audit ready (SQF, Organic, FDA, and customer audits)

Qualifications

Strong communication skills

Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility

Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Ability to work with multiple departments including Operations, Maintenance, Warehouse & Logistics, and Research & Development

Ability to use a computer and tablet

Must speak, read and write English

Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred

Physical Requirements

Move/Lift up to 50 lbs

Stands most of the day

Works in Cold Room 25% of the time

Must wear Personal Protective Equipment
