Position Summary: This position is a supply chain role that will participate in the production scheduling process. This is a hands‑on position responsible for coordinating production schedules to help drive the organization towards exceeding customer service levels. Collaboration with other members of the supply chain and customer support teams is critical to achieve these sales and service objectives.
Responsibilities
Creates work orders and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established production sequences and lead times.
Schedules identical processes to minimize duplicate setups.
Monitors material inventories, coordinates, and expedites the placement of purchase orders and/or delivery of material.
Ensures raw materials are available as schedules are created.
Confers with department supervisors to determine progress of work.
Compiles production reports concerning progress of work to apprise planning personnel of changes.
Expedites operations that delay shipping schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
Ensures that runs are prioritized for on‑time delivery.
Distributes work orders denoting number, type and proposed completion date.
Assists Demand Planner with planning system maintenance and alerts management of discrepancies.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience
One (1) year prior experience in a manufacturing environment (including six (6) months in customer service).
Ability to multi‑task and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated computer skills using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Education and Certification
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Associate’s Degree strongly encouraged.
Location: Omaha, NE
Salary: $48,000.00-$58,000.00
