Overview
This role is essential in ensuring that all finished parts consistently meet both customer and internal quality standards. The Quality Inspector will handle in-process and final inspections, oversee first article reviews, and manage certification documentation with minimal oversight. In addition, this position serves as a trusted resource for troubleshooting quality issues, mentoring peers, and promoting ISO-driven practices across the production floor. Responsibilities
Perform detailed in‑process and final inspections using hand tools and measurement equipment. Complete First Article Inspections (FAI) and prepare customer certification packages. Verify parts from outside processes meet specifications before release. Coach and train team members on department procedures and workmanship expectations. Support production in applying ISO 9001 practices; participate in internal audits and compliance activities. Document findings, escalate nonconformances, and help drive effective resolutions. Adhere to site workmanship standards and assist with additional quality tasks as assigned. Qualifications
5+ years of inspection experience (preferred) with strong knowledge of shop‑floor manufacturing processes. Advanced understanding of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and the ability to interpret complex drawings. Proficiency with precision measurement tools and common inspection equipment; familiarity with CMM is a plus. Comfortable using productivity and ERP/MRP tools (e.g., Microsoft Office; exposure to systems like Mie Trak or CAD tools such as SolidWorks is helpful). Clear, professional communication; able to manage priorities, solve problems, and mentor others in a fast‑paced setting. Able to meet physical demands of the role (standing, bending, lifting up to ~50 lbs) and work around typical shop noise and motion. Exposure to quality systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 13485 is strongly preferred; GD&T training/certification is a plus. Employment details
