Job Description BNP Associates seeks a detail‑oriented Project Manager for its airport systems consulting team. The role involves overseeing projects from master planning and concept design to documentation, cost estimating, and on‑site project management through installation and commissioning. The Project Manager will work with the apron systems team to develop equipment specifications and manage multiple airfield layout options, ensuring client requirements for aircraft parking, taxiing, and maneuvering are met.

Job Responsibilities

Serve as the primary liaison and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for clients and contractors.

Coordinate with Project Designers to develop FAA/ICAO/IATA user‑airline compliant gate layouts and apron drawings using CAD/AviPlan and generic BIM models, including related apron systems equipment specifications.

Collaborate with Designers, Project Engineers, Directors, and Executives on staffing and documentation.

Work with team members and other Project Managers to find the best solutions for clients.

Oversee discipline‑specific requirements for aircraft parking layouts and apron systems equipment design and commissioning.

Manage on‑site activities such as surveys, inspections, installations, and equipment testing.

Supervise punch‑list resolution and provide start‑up assistance.

Maintain project budgets and schedules to ensure timely and cost‑effective completion.

Review and respond to RFIs.

Conduct and analyze system simulations for performance evaluation.

Provide feedback to Designers and Project Engineers on reports, specifications, and drawing packages.

Mentor and support Project Engineers and Designers.

Qualifications

Minimum five (5) years of project management experience in airfield layouts or passenger boarding bridges.

Leadership and team‑building experience with large design and development groups.

Staff management and assignment skills.

Exceptional client rapport and communication skills.

Efficient handling of multiple responsibilities.

Experience managing project logistics, timelines, and budgets.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to read, interpret, and develop efficient logistics designs and concepts.

Data acquisition and compilation skills.

Experience conducting field surveys, inspections, and equipment tests.

Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and other design software is beneficial.

Preferred background in mechanical, industrial, or controls engineering; civil, electrical, or other engineering backgrounds considered if relevant.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Education

Advanced degree or equivalent experience.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

Engineer's License (EIT or PE) preferred.

Working Conditions

Full‑time position at one of the U.S. offices: Denver, Chicago, Dallas, Tampa, or Fairfield.

Occasional travel to U.S. airports for site work and partner office visits.

Standard 40‑hour work week with occasional extra time to meet deadlines.

Compliance with airport security badge and background check requirements.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $90,000 – $135,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
